My Experience Traveling to Colombia During a Pandemic, and Why I'm Hopeful for Travel in 2021

December 31, 2020

It’s been a long year for the travel industry.

I had high hopes for 2020 travel. I came into the year with a checklist of countries I wanted to visit. Then, the pandemic happened. The unprecedented impact of COVID-19 began to trickle down through each level of society. The travel industry in particular was one of the first and hardest-hit by the pandemic. Countries all over the world closed their borders, as billions of people around the world were placed under lockdown to curb the spread of this pandemic. However, there was one thing in particular that I wanted to cover -- something I wasn’t able to see the last time I visited in 2014 because, well, it wasn’t even open back then.

Turkey: A Photographer's Two-Day Guide to Istanbul

December 10, 2019

As a photographer, I’m always keeping an eye out for the next best shot. I enjoy finding the lesser-known, not-as-touristy locations where I can channel my creativity and make something out of nothing.

Turkey: Exploring Cappadocia, the Land of Beautiful Horses

December 8, 2019

I recently had the opportunity to travel to Turkey on holiday. As both a landscape and portrait photographer, I had been eyeing Cappadocia for some time to see the hot-air balloons that took over Instagram, and I finally got the chance to witness these sights with my own two eyes.
